This story was Inspired by real life adventures with Melissa’s own grandmother, Marjorie Fish. It is just the beginning of the "Mudpies and Mischief" series celebrating the unconventional and the magic of everyday moments with those we love.
About the Book:
“Mel has always known that Grandma was special, but one sunny summer day she learns just how MARVELOUS she really is! What begins as an ordinary day of baking brownies transforms into an extraordinary adventure. Mel's safe and cozy world turns into a whirlwind of excitement as she, Grandma, and their loyal feathered sidekick, Misty, embark on an action-packed journey through Mystic, CT. Unexpected perils lie in wait, ready to challenge their courage and resourcefulness. Mel discovers that Grandma has more surprises in store than she ever imagined, and that she, too, has the potential to take the driver's seat!
Combining magical adventures with inspiration from imaginative picture books like When a Dragon Moves in, Where the Wild Things are, Margaret's Unicorn and of course natural elements from Grandma Marjorie's favorites including Make Way for Ducklings and Sylvester, the Mouse with the Musical Ear, this story takes the reader on an immersive journey through Mel's fond recollection of her grandmother's magical world.”
