Emma grew up in Saratoga Springs, NY a city with a vibrant arts community. During her years in elementary school she was  fascinated by art history lessons presented to her by nuns in Catholic school.  She enjoyed attending summer school art classes during middle school.  In high school she took oil painting classes and this became one of her lifetime passions.   She has studied art in high school (Saratoga Springs NY), college (both Northeastern University in Boston and Central CT State University), and at the Farmington Valley Arts Center, Avon CT. These days she especially enjoys creating landscapes and cityscapes.

Her works have been featured at the Mystic Arts Center, Mystic CT,  Lost Acres Vineyard in Granby CT, Simsbury CT Library West Wing Gallery, Noank Historical Society, Noank CT, and the University of Connecticut John Dempsey Hospital, among other sites.  She also serves as a docent at the Hill-stead Museum in Farmington CT which houses a considerable collection of Impressionist paintings, including Degas, Monet and Whistler.

Her style has been inspired by contemporary artists, Impressionists, and those that evoke realism.  She has traveled extensively throughout the US, Europe, South Korea and Japan. Her paintings often depict scenes from locations noticed during her adventures. She is currently a member of Saratoga Arts, a group of artists in her hometown that often display their works in public spaces.
