Program Description

Event Details

This class will walk you through the basics of how to make and bake your first loaf, the many other things you can make with sourdough starter and, of course, the proper care and feeding of your starter so it can become a healthy, life-long companion.  Taught by an amatuer baker (our own Co-President of the MNL Board of Trustees--Mary Tullis Engvall) you'll get an uncomplicated, easy to follow tutorial on sourdough baking.  You'll learn why her starter is named Jan, and some funny stories of what she's learned in her own kitchen over the two years she's had this fun and delicious hobby.
