Event Details
Come to the Library to share and learn what you know (or don't know) about painting, or simply enjoy the meditative experience of mixing color and shape while browsing art books from the Library's collection. Prompts and structure based on the Celebrating Cultural Heritage through Art lecture series and accompanying Mystic Museum of Art workshops will guide us. Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies, but the Library will offer a set of acrylic paints, brushes, and one 8x10 canvas to the first 15 registrants.
Consider this time to create and respond to our open call for submissions to our Tiny Art Gallery Show! We are asking our patrons to contribute artworks that celebrate cultural heritage to display in the Ames Room for the month of May. Turn in your completed artwork to the circulation desk with a brief cover sheet indicating: your name, contact information, a title for the artwork, and a description or artist statement for the painting. All ages and experience levels are welcome.
Registration is required to attend this program.
