Program Description

Event Details

Wondering if genealogy is for you? This introductory presentation
will cover the eight basic types of genealogical resources and how
to find and use them, as well of the basics of Ancestry.com and
FamilySearch.org, the two main online sources almost all
genealogists use. While it’s designed to be an introduction, even
those who have some experience may find some helpful pointers.
Carol Ansel has been the Director of the Godfrey Memorial
Library, a genealogical research center in Middletown, CT for six
years, and has a genealogical research certificate from Boston
University. Before she got sucked in to the “black hole of
genealogy” she was a school librarian in southeastern Connecticut
for many years.

In-person presentation with question & answer period.
