Event Details
This one hour free webinar will cover ‘overcoming barriers to seeking therapy’, ‘how to tell family and friends’, ‘different types of therapy’ and ‘how to find a therapist’. Francine Figueroa, LCSW will facilitate this informative hour of steps and guide to therapy with Q&A for community members. This is a Zoom Webinar. Microphones and cameras will be disabled for participants and your name will not appear to other attendees.
Speaker Bio
Francine Figueroa brings a level of expertise to her work that is skilled, diverse and rich. She has been practicing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Psychotherapist for over a decade. Francine is a trained Specialist in the treatment of Eating Disorders, Disordered Eating Patterns, Body Dysmorphia, Attachment Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Women with Trauma/PTSD, Grief, Loss and Addiction/ Dependency. Over the years, she has worked amongst forefront Practitioners and Integrative Teams, changing the scope of Mental Health and Wellness. As a representative of the BIPOC community and as a Mental Health Practitioner, she collaborates with community members and Mental Health Advocates to provide informational seminars, community activism and help to link ‘person to resource’ in an effort to bridge the gaps to Mental Health and Wellness.
This program is hosted by the Mystic & Noank Library and co-sponsored by the Bill Memorial Library, Groton Public Library, and the Public Library of New London.
