There's more to a library than just shelves and books.  Careful thinking and planning has informed the interior and exterior design of libraries as they evolved from medieval stacks to modern community centers.  This program will explore the good, the bad and the amazingly innovative in library architecture, with a focus on the last century.

Our presenter is Jane Oneail, Founder and President of Culturally Curious.  Jane was leading tours at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston when she first began to appreciate the special magic that happens when people look at art together and share their genuine reactions and questions.  Jane holds a master’s in Art History from Boston University and a master’s in Education from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.

This program is hosted by Waterford Public Library and co-sponsored by Groton Public, Mystic & Noank, and The Otis Library of Norwich.
