A great gift: The Adventure of raising bilingual children
Are you interesting in raising your children or grandchildren to be bilingual? In this interactive talk we will discover the many ways to develop bilingual language abilities in children. There are actually many different ways to expose your child to two languages and no single approach has been found to be the best one, says Viorica Marian, author of the Power of Language and professor of communication sciences and disorders at Northwestern University in Illinois, in the US.
We will explore many approaches to developing bilingual children, myths and misconceptions as well as proven techniques that work. Come and learn about Bilingualism and have some fun as well!
Sue Goldstein is a retired bilingual teacher with 45 years of experience working in varied types of bilingual programs in California, New York and Connecticut. She has studying second language acquisition in children at the graduate level.
